Water flowing into a floor drain grate
Solutions

Blocked drains

Most blockages start as a film of grease, hair and organic sludge on the pipe wall. By the time water backs up, the pipe has been narrowing for months.

Sinks, showers and floor wastes collect hair, soap scum, fats and food waste every day. Those materials settle inside the pipe and form a sticky layer that catches more debris on every pass. The drain slows, then it stops. Caustic drain openers burn through the blockage but they also attack older pipes, harm septic systems and do nothing to stop the layer growing back.

Enzyme and probiotic formulas take the opposite approach. They digest the organic material itself, so the pipe wall is cleaned rather than scoured, and the same treatment used monthly keeps the build-up from returning.

How to fix it

Three steps

Clear the blockage

Drain Clog Digestor liquefies hair, sludge, grease and uric scale. Pour, wait, then flush with hot water. Up to four applications per bottle.

Clean the pipe wall

DrainGuard probiotic foam expands to coat the full inside of the pipe and digests the biofilm that catches new debris.

Keep it flowing

A monthly enzyme treatment holds the pipe clean between deep cleans, which is far cheaper than a plumber's call-out.

Questions

Frequently asked

Are enzyme drain cleaners safe for old or PVC pipes?

Yes. Enzyme and probiotic products work by digesting organic matter, not by chemical corrosion, so they are safe on copper, PVC and older cast pipes when used as directed.

Can I use these products with a septic system?

Drain Pro products are septic safe. Caustic openers can kill the bacteria a septic tank relies on, which is one of the reasons we do not stock them.

How long does Drain Clog Digestor take to work?

Allow at least 30 minutes for sinks and showers. For toilets let it sit for two hours or overnight, then flush once the water level returns to normal.
